“A library is a good place to go when you feel unhappy, for there, in a book, you may find encouragement and comfort. A library is a good place to go when you feel bewildered or undecided, for there, in a book, you may have your question answered. Books are good company, in sad times and happy times, for books are people—people who have managed to stay alive by hiding between the covers of a book,”- E.B. White, writing to the children of Troy, Michigan, congratulating them on their new library in 1971.

Joy comes to my mind as I think of my classroom opportunities the last few days. I was able to be in the classroom last Thursday and Friday as well as today. I will be in tomorrow and hopefully Wednesday. It is a joy to be making a living while doing what I love. It is a joy getting to come home and pump some iron. It is a joy getting to look forward to delicious soup for dinner after having some for lunch. It is a joy to be able to go to a beautiful library and check out some new books and magazines. So many joys.
I have some bills to pay tonight, some reviewing of the Articles of Confederation to do, and some husband wife time to enjoy. Look for some posts soon. Thanks for being patient.
